There are many skills to unlock in Assassin's Creed Syndicate - here are the ones to focus on first:

- Health Boost I: This slight bump to your health bar will make a world of difference during the first few hours of the game.
- Eagle Vision II: This upgrade allows Evie and Jacob to see through walls, making it much easier to mark and keep track of enemies and targets alike.
- Loot Takedown: This is especially helpful for stealthier players, since it eliminates the need to loot bodies after assassinations.
For Evie:
- Stealth I: This boost to her stealth stat will make infiltrating restricted areas much simpler.
For Jacob:
- Slayer I: Jacob is far more suited to facing his enemies head-on, and this skill allows him to make quick work of them.
Combat Skills
Combat Skills are abilities that can be upgraded and unlocked as players progress throughout the game. Unlocking all of them with Jacob will unlock the Bartit*u Trophy / Achievement.

Unstoppable I | Increase time allowed before losing your combo streak. | 1 Skill Point |
Unstoppable II | First hit taken during a combo doesn't reset the combo meter. | 2 Skill Points Unstoppable I Must be Level 2 |
Counter Boost | Counter attacks have a longer window of opportunity and deal more damage. | 2 Skill Points Must be Level 2 |
Slayer I | After reaching x10 hits in a combo, your next attack puts the target near-death. | 1 Skill Point |
Slayer II | After bringing one enemy near death, following attacks on other targets will do the same to them. | 2 Skill Points Slayer I Must be Level 3 |
Execute I | Stun an enemy, then perform a Tool combo for massive damage. | 2 Skill Points Must be Level 3 |
Execture II | Enemies who see you perform an execution flee the battlefield. | 4 Skill Points Execute I Must be Level 5 |
Mutilate | Successful attacks bring enemies to near-death faster. | 2 Skill Points Must be Level 3 |
Mutilate II (Jacob only) | Jacob's attacks bring enemies to near-death faster. | 4 Skill Points Mutilate I Must be Level 5 |
Stealth Skills
Stealth Skills are abilities that can be upgraded and unlocked as players progress throughout the game. Unlocking all of them with Evie will unlock the Phantom Trophy / Achievement.

Double Assassination | Simultaneous kill two unaware targets. | 1 Skill Point |
Loot Takedown | Automatically loot an enemy you've multi-killed, knocked out or assassinated | 1 Skill Point |
Kidnap | Take an enemy hostage and use them to access restricted areas. | Mission Reward (1st Bounty Hunt) |
Intimidation | Kidnapped enemies no longer attempt to escape. | 2 Skill Points Kidnap Must be Level 2 |
Lockpicking I | Open locked chests. | 1 Skill Point |
Lockpicking II | Open locked doors, excpet ones requiring a Master Key. | 2 Skill Points Lockpicking I Must be Level 2 |
Stealth I | Stealth stat increases by 7, making it easier to avoid detection. | 2 Skill Points Must be Level 2 |
Stealth II | Stealth stat increases by an additional 7, making it harder for enemies to detect you | 2 Skill Points Stealth I Must be Level 3 |
Stealth III (Evie only) | Evie's Stealth stat is increased by an extra 11, making her even harder to detect. | 4 Skill Points Stealth II Must be Level 5 |
First Strike | Attack an enemy before entering combat to inflict signifigant damage. | 2 Skill Points Must be Level 2 |
First Strike II | First attack does considerable damage, potentially killing it's target. | 6 Skill Points First Strike I Must be Level 6 |
Assassin Steps | Take signifigantly reduced damage from falls and make less noise when moving. | 2 Skill Points Must be Level 3 |
Chameleon (Evie only) | In stealth mode, Evie becomes invisible when stationary. | 6 Skill Points Assassin Steps Must be Level 6 |
Knife Master I | Throwing knives stun enemies, and are automatically recovered during multi-kills. | 2 Skill Points Must be Level 3 |
Knife Master II (Evie only) | Evies knives do more damage, and she can carry twice as many. | 4 Skill Points Knife Master I Must be Level 5 |

Ecosystem Skills
Ecosystem Skills allow Evie and Jacob to use the world around them to their advantage. Certain Ecosystem skills, like the Leadership ability, automatically unlock when you advance your character level.

Eagle Vision III | Expand vision radius and displays the direction of enemies on the mini-map. | 2 Skill Points Eagle Vision II Must be Level 2 |
Scavenger I | Find more common crafting resources. | 1 Skill Point |
Scavenger II | Fine more rare crafting resources | 2 Skill Points Scavenger I Must be Level 2 |
Defense I | Reduce all incoming melee damage. | 2 Skill Points Must be Level 2 |
